2024 has started with a bang (and a crash or two), so let’s recap the first month and change of the year:
New Members
We would like to welcome our newest drivers – Elias Holm, Connor Craven, Adam Donovan, David Rankin, Michael Poole, and Fred Towler. We look forward to having them racing with us, either in IVRA or iRacing Special Events, beginning with the 12 Hours of Bathurst.
24 Hours of Daytona
It was mixed results with our teams at Daytona. Out of the 4 teams who competed, we ended the weekend with two Top 11 results and two DNFs. Our GT team got P8 in the Porsche 911 GT3R, and one of our prototype teams finished P11 in the Porsche 963.
IVRA ClubSport
At the 700km of VIR, our LMP3 team started their first event of the season. However, due to power issues, our drivers failed to finish the race, completing 52 of the 132 laps. On the Porsche Cup side, the 946 team finished the race in P4, while the 922 team crossed the line in P7. This puts the 946 in P4 in the championship classifications, and the 922 team is solidly in P6 with one race remaining at Interlagos. Should everything go perfectly our way, a championship P2 is still possible for team 946 as well as a P5 for the 922.
IVRA Endurance
In the most recent team event, the 100km of Interlagos, the 221 team in the GT class finished their event in P4 after post-race penalties. Due to early trouble and a poor finishing result by the championship leader, we have now taken the overall lead in the championship. Two races still remain in the season, the 100km of Spa-Francorchamps on 16 March and the 12 Hours of Fuji on 27 April. Our drivers have done a fantastic job all season, and we know they will be prepared to fight for the title!
Porsche Esports Carrera Cup GB
After 6 Rounds of the season, our Pro drivers are currently in P14 and P17, while Am driver Scott Moakes currently sits P2 in the class championship, 22 points behind the class leader. The next 2 rounds are at Brands Hatch.
