Happy 1st Birthday, Olympus eSports
As June begins, Olympus eSports celebrates it’s first year with a return to the Majors 24. It was this event where Oblivion drivers Thomas Cope, Tom Bindloss, Matt Loveridge and Marc Binnie finished P5 in the top split, which gave Tom B and I the incentive to create a professional racing team.
Starting with lead drivers Cope, Loveridge, and professional racer Mike Ogren, then adding another professional driver and streamer Lyubov Ozeretskovskaya, the core of Olympus was created. Since that time, we have had many stops and starts, but as our first year closes we can celebrate our first podium in a team endurance race (P3 in the Daytona 24 hours), our first individual championship (Cope in the Apex Racing League GT Trophy) and two other team podium finishes.
We also have new drivers coming into the team. We now have drivers in the US, UK, Australia, Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Norway. Most recently, we would like to welcome Andy Booth, Christopher Stephenson, Nina Hahn, Cameron Hawes, Tom Bingham, Robert Murray, Matt Tolzman, Ethan Winters, Tim Beilicke, Henry Handy and Tom Bingham to the team. I am sure over the next year they will have a chance to show their skills.
Personally, I would like to thank each of our drivers for their hard work and dedication. Let’s bring on year 2!
