Over the weekend of 21 January 2023, Olympus took part in its first official VSCA event, competing in the 24 Hours of Daytona. The GTP team consisting of drivers David van der Waals, Sophia Ridpath, Luis Araya, and Victor Klaesson, piloted their BMW M LMDh prototype into a 6th place finish, while leading 15 laps during the event. The LMP team of drivers Matt Loveridge, Daniel Merchant, and Stian Solberg ran into early trouble, going multiple laps down. The team persevered and finished the race in 10th place in class. GTD drivers Grant Yingling, Paul Joseph Clist, and Chris Stephenson finished the race in 9th place but ran in the top 5 for large portions of the event.
After clean driving bonus points were issued the GTP team stands in 8th position, the LMP team is in 10th position, and the GTD team is in 12th position. The next event will be the 12 Hours of Sebring to be held on 11 March 2023.
The VSCA Series mimics the real life IMSA series, both in track selection and race distance.
